Wounds Australia 2022 Conference – Don’t Miss Out!

It’s not too late to register for the Wounds Australia 2022 Conference, which kicks off in Sydney on 14 September, but you had better be quick!

Our very own Peta Tehan – a member of the NEGPRN steering committee – is scientific co-chair of the conference and helped design the program. And, take it from Peta, it offers something for everyone.

“This will be the first time the conference has been held in four years and brings together nurses, podiatrists, nurse practitioners, occupational therapists, geriatricians, and surgeons to immerse  themselves in four days of wound education,” Peta says.

This year’s theme is Time to Heal, Time to Unite, Time to Innovate and participants  from Europe, America and Asia are expected to attend what is being billed as the largest wound conference in the Southern Hemisphere. Winthrop Professor Fiona Wood, the renowned Western Australian plastic and reconstruction surgeon, will be one of the keynote speakers.

“We are hoping for about 900 registrations and the anticipation is really starting to build,” says Peta, who will present two sessions on her own research. “Anyone who deals with wounds would benefit from attending and we have developed the program to provide a range of sessions and workshops on various wound types.”

The conference will be held from 14-17 September at the International Convention Centre in Sydney.
